Yasser Hujirat
Dr Yasser Hujirat was elected to the Israeli Knesset in November 2022 as a member of the Islamist United Arab List (Ra’am). Prior to that he was the head of the Arab Bedouin Bir al-Maksur local council (east of Haifa). He previously taught genetics at Technion (The Israeli Institute of Technology).
