Sami Hijjawi (Minister for Local Governance)
Sami Hijjawi (سامي حجاوي) is the Palestinian Authority’s minister for local governance. He was elected mayor of Nablus in the 2021-2022 local elections. He has a doctorate in civil engineering from Azerbaijan University and has previously worked on projects in Jordan and Yemen.
