Abdulkhaleq al-Natsheh

Abdulkhaleq al-Natsheh (عبد الخالق النتشة), born in Hebron in 1954, is a veteran Hamas leader. He has been a part of the movement since its establishment and has spent a total of 20 years in Israeli prisons since then. He is running in the May 2021 legislative elections on the party’s ‘Jerusalem is our Promise’ list.

While in Israeli prison, he co-signed the June 2006 National Conciliation Document of the Prisoners – together with Marwan Barghouti (Fatah), Bassam Sa’adi (PIJ), Abdel Rahim Mallouh (PFLP), and Mustafa Badarneh (DFLP).

In 1992, Israel deported al-Natsheh to Marj al-Zuhur in southern Lebanon where he stayed for a year.
