Joanna joined the ECFR Wider Europe Programme in September 2016. Previously she worked on human rights in Eastern Europe and Central Asia with the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) in Paris and on EU peacebuilding policies with the European Peacebuilding Liaison Office (EPLO) in Brussels. She interned at the Open Society European Policy Institute (OSEPI) and at the European Commission, dealing with EU relations with the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
She has also done research for the EU Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) and the pan-European volunteer project Asylos.
Joanna holds an MA in German and Politics from the University of Edinburgh and an MA in European Studies from the College of Europe.
