The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) is hosting a lunch discussion to mark the launch of ECFR's newest paper "War and pieces: Political divides in southern Yemen".

The war in Yemen has exacerbated political fragmentation, putting the country at risk of disintegration. In this complex and risky environment, European policymakers should step up to avoid further fragmentation in Yemen and its south in particular. In light of these developments and following on the recently published ECFR paper, the authors will present the findings of their report and discuss other relevant recent developments. Saleh al Batati will act as discussant to the points made in the talk and the paper.
