On May 18th 2015, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Berlin – in cooperation with the European Council on Foreign Relations – hosted a conference on a European Defense and Security Policy.
Under the Chatham House Rule the penalists, togehter with 30 representatives from the German Bundestag and Germany ministries, Embassies, media and think-tanks, discussed European security in the context of the war in Ukraine. The round table discussion was structured by two panels: The first penal adressed questions concerning the relationship between Europe and Russia. The second penal discussed the merits and limits of European Security organisations and the possiblity of a rivival of European Security Policy.
