Biography

Lucie Haupenthal was the head of campaigns at the European Council on Foreign Relations, where she developed campaign strategies and coordinates advocacy priorities across the organisation. Prior to this role, Haupenthal was the research assistant to ECFR’s director, where she acted as speech writer, podcast researcher, and strategic adviser to Mark Leonard and managed cross-organisational projects such as the Power Atlas.
Before joining ECFR, she worked as Mercator Fellow at NATO´s Allied Command Transformation, the German Permanent Representation to the EU and in the EU-funded Libya project of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).

Haupenthal holds an MA in Contemporary European Studies from the international “Euromasters” programme in Bath, Chapel Hill and Berlin and a BA in Politics and Public Administration from the University of Constance and the University of Stockholm.
