Lucie Haupenthal is research assistant to Director Mark Leonard, the cofounder and director of the European Council on Foreign Relations. Previously, Haupenthal worked as Mercator Fellow at NATO´s Allied Command Transformation, the German Permanent Representation to the EU and in the EU-funded Libya project of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD). She gained further professional experience at the German Embassy in Budapest, the German Development Institute, the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation and the EU Delegation to the United States.
Haupenthal holds an MA in Contemporary European Studies from the international "Euromasters" programme in Bath, Chapel Hill and Berlin and a BA in Politics and Public Administration from the University of Constance and the University of Stockholm.Photo: D. Außerhofer, © Stiftung Mercator
