Tasnim Abderrahim is a visiting fellow with the Middle East and North Africa programme at the European Council on Foreign Relations. Her topics of focus range from migration in EU-North Africa relations to decentralisation and local governance and Tunisia’s external relations.
Abderrahim previously worked as a Junior Policy Officer at the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM) in Maastricht and as a Research Assistant with the Centre des Etudes Méditerranéennes et Internationales (CEMI) in Tunis. She is co-editor of Tunisia’s International Relations since the ‘Arab Spring’: Transition Inside and Out, a book that studies changes in Tunisia’s foreign policy and bilateral relations before and after 2011. She has provided commentary on developments in Tunisia to Al Jazeera, Jeune Afrique, Arab News, the New Arab, among others. Abderrahim holds a Master’s degree in English Cultural Studies from the University of Tunis.
