Palestine Liberation Front (PLF)
The PLF was co-founded in 1977 by Talat Yaqub and Mohammed Abbas Zaydan (Abu Abbas) who broke away from the pro-Syrian PFLP-GC over its support for Syria's 1976 intervention against the PLO in Lebanon.
In 1981, the PLF reportedly "tried and failed to fly armed hang-gliders and hot air balloons over the Israel-Lebanon border". It was also responsible for the October 1985 hostage taking and killing on the Achille Lauro. It is a US State Department designated Foreign Terrorist Organisations.
