Nabil Rudeineh (Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Information)

Nabil Rudeineh, born in 1953 in Bethlehem, was regarded as a loyalist to Yasser Arafat and now as a loyalist to Mahmoud Abbas, travelling frequently with the latter.

Abbas appointed him as the Palestinian Authority’s second deputy prime minister (alongside Ziad Abu Amr), and minister of information, in August 2018. This followed his appointment to Fatah's Central Committee in June 2017. He also continues to serve as presidential spokesperson, a position he also held under Yasser Arafat.

Rudeineh previously worked under Fatah’s deputy leader Khalil al-Wazir (Abu Jihad) until his assassination by Israel in 1988.
