Ahead of the EU-Georgia Association Council in March the European Council on Foreign Relations is delighted to invite you to a Black Coffee Morning to discuss the current developments in Georgia over a decade after the official end of the Russian-Georgian war.

In cooperation with GRASS, a Georgian think-tank promoting democratization and transparency initiatives on the ground we will discuss the cooperation between the EU and Georgia on economic and legislative reforms and take a closer look at the new Georgian initiative “A Step to a better Future” which aims to facilitate trade to the occupied regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia through “status-neutral” formats. Through the re-establishment of societal and economic relations, spill-over effects into the pollical process might not be ruled out.

As Georgia's biggest trade partner, what should the EU and Germany do to maintain the momentum for reform?

We are looking forward to your participation a lively debate!
