The European Council on Foreign Relations and BDI are delighted to invite you to a public conference to cross perspectives on the future of the international trade architecture in the context of the US-China trade war.

Japan and Europe have completed the negotiation of their Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA), which helps remove barriers and intends to shape global trade rules on the basis of shared standards and values. The EPA has sent a powerful anti-protectionism signal to the world’s largest economies. The panel will address the direct and indirect impact of the US-China trade war for Europe and Japan, and the future of the multilateral rules-based order, in particular the WTO.

It would be a pleasure to welcome you to this debate, which will be on-the-record and held in English. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Thursday, 6 December, 16:00 – 17:30
