Este lunes tuvo lugar en la sede de las instituciones europeas en Madrid el seminario “Beyond East-West, North-South paradigms: Spanish and Polish perspectives on the European elections and the crisis in the Eastern Neighbourhood”. Organizado por ECFR y la Embajada de Polonia en Madrid, permitió conocer el enfoque de estos dos países sobre los dos temas de actualidad más importantes en la agenda europea.
Tras la presentación, con Tomasz Arabski, embajador de Polonia en España, Piotr Buras, director de ECFR Varsovia, y José Ignacio Torreblanca, director de ECFR Madrid, comentaron la potencial composición y relevancia del próximo Parlamento Europeo que se formará con las elecciones de mayo. Por su parte, Jarosław Bratkiewicz (Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de Polonia), Ignacio Ybáñez Rubio (Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de España), Borja Lasheras (director adjunto de ECFR Madrid) y Elina Viilup (investigadora de CIDOB) debatieron sobre el papel de la Unión Europea en la crisis de Crimea y los pasos a seguir.
