Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance and Operations and working closely with the Senior Accountant and staff in our pan european offices, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the delivery of business-focused and meaningful financial data and analysis. You will be operating and maintaining efficient financial systems and processes to support managers across the group to fulfil their financial management responsibilities.
The Senior Financial Controller will demonstrate relevant and proven experience in a busy, small to medium sized, multinational environment. The successful candidate must be able to operate independently, pro-actively and effectively with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels.

Manage all financial controlling matters
Support closing of books on a monthly basis and prepare timely and reliable monthly management reports
Prepare, develop further and provide financial information and analysis and KPI calculations to support decision-making
Control budgets and provide assistance to all budget holders to effectively manage their budgets
Become a financial systems expert and support maintaining up-to-date financial systems
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, including cash-flow
Provide efficient tools and easy-to-understand written guidance for budget holders
Deliver financial training to staff to support the development of an experience group of budget holders and administrators
Undertake any other ad-hoc work reasonable required
Adequate and relevant hands-on financial controlling experience in an international, small to medium sized environment, preferably in a not-for-profit organisation
Business degree or similar professional/educational standard, an accountancy background being an advantage
Proficient to a high level in the use and maintenance of up-to-date financial systems in support of a networked organisation as well as in MS Office
Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high standard of written and spoken German and English
Able to demonstrate a customer-focused, pro-active approach with a good knowledge and understanding of budget processes, budgetary controls and financial management
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent numeracy skills
Good organisational skills, flexibility and ability to multi-task
Highly reliable and quality driven
Trustworthy with the ability to maintain confidentiality
