 The debate will focus on the modern Turkey as seen through the eyes of the Turks. It will evaluate: the democratic transition of the past years and discuss the impact of islamisation of the country on this process; situation of actors such as the military, civil society and kurdish minority; relations with the countries of the European Union; trends and dynamism of the current reform process; newest economic and social trends as well as its position of a regional power.
