Book launch: The fragmentation of European power

On September 12th, the Mapfre Foundation hosted the launch of the book The fragmentation of the European power, written by José Ignacio Torreblanca, ECFR senior policy fellow and head of Madrid office. Over two hundred people attended the event. Among them there were ambassadors, former ministers, and officials from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, experts from academia and think tanks, and journalists.

The book release was accompanied by a thought provoking and lively panel discussion. Speakers included Felipe González, former Spanish president; Diego López Garrido, EU secretary of state for the EU, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Diego Hidalgo, FRIDE president; and Dario Valcárcel, Política Exterior director.
