The latest Black Coffee Morning in our London office focused on Turkey's resurgence as a foreign policy player. Firdevs Robinson, Vessela Tcherneva and Dimitar Bechev provided the expertise.

ECFR has won the award for “best UK-based think tank of the year dealing with non-UK affairs” from Prospect magazine (despite not being solely 'UK-based'). The judges said that 'special credit was given to ECFR's power audits resulting in audits of EU-US and EU-UN relations and its work on international crisis management'.

ECFR co-hosts a workshop to explore the challenges and opportunities for European support for democracy and human rights in North Africa, welcoming participants from across Europe and North Africa in Barcelona.

In cooperation with ECFR's Berlin office, the 11th annual Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung foreign policy conference is being held from the 7-8 October in Berlin. The conference is looking at how the EU can come up with constructive policies for the eastern neighbourhood on security, rule of law and sustainable development that go beyond geopolitical zero-sum games.
