ECFR wins Prospect magazine's award for best foreign policy think tank

ECFR has won the award for “best UK-based think tank of the year dealing with non-UK affairs” from Prospect magazine (despite not being solely 'UK-based'). The judges said that 'special credit was given to ECFR's power audits resulting in audits of EU-US and EU-UN relations and its work on international crisis management'.

In cooperation with ECFR's Berlin office, the 11th annual Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung foreign policy conference is being held from the 7-8 October in Berlin. The conference is looking at how the EU can come up with constructive policies for the eastern neighbourhood on security, rule of law and sustainable development that go beyond geopolitical zero-sum games. ECFR's office in Westminster had its formal launch with a pair of seminars looking at Britain and Europe in the coming years. The seminars featured some of the biggest thinkers on foreign relations, politics and the economic crisis, including George Soros, Lord Ashdown, Timothy Garton Ash, Emma Bonino and Joschka Fischer.
